The sunrise was spectacular this morning, as was the amount of sparkly ice over our cars!

This was the view from our bedroom window, the farm over the way is where we currently get our free range eggs from. I hope to re-introduce chooks to the garden in 2008.

A non crafty day in this household today, instead I attempted to get my Christmas cards done, and made apple sauce with the last of the apples from our ancient tree.

I had a visitor too. We have plenty of pheasants around the garden at the moment, I wonder if they know it is safer in my garden than out in the 'firing line'

  1. Lovely photos. We had a spectacular sunset in Hampshire yesterday promising (and delivering) a beautiful day today. Have just come back from a car boot (and walk) on the beach.

  3. Oh what beautiful skies! I love to watch a lovely sunset. On some evenings, Honey and I will ride down to the shore just to see the sun set. A beautiful sight indeed! Continue to enjoy the season, and wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas!

  5. I was just reading one of your blogs from August when you visited Shrewsbury. You said that on your way back to the train station you came across a shop which stocked Cath Kidston.

Please please please could you tell me the name of this shop? i live in Shrewsbury and adore the Cath Kidston range. What sort of items did they stock? were there any lipbalms or other beauty products?

This would be extremely helpful with regard to Christmas presents for the girls etc!
    Many thanks,
    Alice.

  6. Apple sauce - yum. My husband would probably say pheasant - yum but how could one possibly kill such a handsome chap?

  7. Alice, hi!
Walking back from the town centre, go past the library on your left and it is a 'few' shops down there. It wasn't a Cath Kidston shop, more of an interior design place, but it had CK stuff in the window display. We didn't have time to go in but will make sure we do next time!

  9. I like your photos, I took a very similar one for on my garden blog, the colour of the sky and clouds is fascinating. How I would love chooks in our garden, just a shame we are so residential. Looks like you are getting ahead with your preparations, I like to see a pheasant alive, yesterday we passed by one on the roadside, the poor thing was ready for the table! Anyway on that note, have a lovely Christmas and a very Happy New Year. x
