Aberdovey Lovely

Our annual day on the beach. Aberdovey has a nice beach, some nice shops and some very nice Bora Brith!

Glorious views of the hills across the Dovey estuary

My girl is 15 on Sunday, but one is never too old to dig holes!

And her mum will never be too old to fly a kite!

  2. I'm 39 and I both dig holes and fly kites, while my 66 year old Mum says that kiteflying is cheaper than therapy. Mind you, she does sing a selection of hits from Mary Poppins as she flies, so she might not be all that stable anyway!

  3. Digging holes and making sand castles are ageless occupations - kite flying is something I've never got the hang of properly though, DH did all the kite flying when the children were young. Lovely photos and nice weather for your day by the sea.

  8. I've just been trying to work out how long it is since I went to Aberdovey ... suffice to say the houses weren't multi-coloured and I was only 10!!

I love that part of Wales and would love to go again. Perhaps I can convince hubby (or vice versa) that we should make the time to get away for a few days!
